You’re Done

I am a music junkie. I love it and there is almost always music playing around me. I love the way music moves, transforms and sometimes reveals pieces of us.  Today was no exception, I was listening to New Man by All Things New and a realization washed over me like it was the first time though it wasn’t. I have read my Bible, I know the words that the Spirit spoke over me but today they felt different. Today they were spoken into a deeper part of my soul, a part that has been needing a breath of fresh air.

You’re done being anything less than the daughter of the Living God.

You’re done looking outward for the approval that I have already give you.

You’re done looking back at your mistakes. I’m at your side, in your corner, wherever you need me to be.

Step closer, press into me, not out.

You’re done waiting for the words to come from another because I have already called you my own and said those words you’ve been searching to find over you long before you were even born.

You’re done not measuring up because the daughter of the King is always, always enough.

You’re new.

You’re body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

You were on Jesus’ mind at the cross.

You were created for a purpose.

Be still.

Be faithful.

Rest.

Trust.

Breath out the lies and inhale my truths.

However, he gave the right to become God’s children to everyone who believed in him.

John 1:12
